Mr Gary Loh Hock Chuan – Executive Chairman
Mr Loh is our Executive Chairman and was appointed to the Board in 2006. Mr Loh is also Chairman of First Alverstone Capital Ltd and was previously the Director of Sales at UOB Kay Hian Pte Ltd. He started his career as a Venture Capitalist for Pacific Capital Pte Ltd and was based in Shanghai. He returned to Singapore and joined Merrill Lynch International Bank as a Financial Consultant with regional client coverage, before joining UOB Kay Hian Pte Ltd. Mr Loh holds a BA with majors in Economics and Political Science and also a Masters in Applied Finance from the National University of Singapore.
Ms Wu Lianhua – Chief Executive Officer
Ms Wu Lianhua, Connie is our Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”). She’s appointed to the Board of Directors in August 2010 following the completion of the acquisition of China Children Fashion Holdings Pte Ltd (“CCFH”). She heads the CCFH group as its CEO and has been involved in CCFH’s business for the last 10 years. She started her career as an export sales manager in 2001 in one of CCFH’s business units.
Mr Zhang Zhize – Chief Operating Officer
Mr Zhang Zhize, Michael is our Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer (“COO”). He’s appointed to the Board of Directors in August 2010 following the completion of the acquisition of China Children Fashion Holdings Pte Ltd (“CCFH). He is the COO of the CCFH Group and is instrumental in expanding the JJL kids brand in China. He heads the retail team in China and is tasked with the expansion of the retail business. Michael is involved in CCFH’s business since 2000 as an export sales manager and subsequently as a general manager in one of CCFH’s business units.
Mr Wee Liang Hiam – Chief Financial Officer cum General Manager (SEA)
Mr Wee is our Executive Director and was appointed to our Board on 1 Jun 2009. He is also our Chief Financial Officer cum General Manager (SEA). Mr Wee also serves on the board of other Singapore main board listed companies as an independent director. Mr Wee has extensive experience in various industries and business environments. He has been involved in various stages of several successful merger and acquisitions from evaluation to the integration of the merged entities, including leading companies to successful listings on the main board of the Singapore Exchange.
Mr Wee holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Management from the Singapore Institute of Management, a masters in Business Administration (Accountancy) from Nanyang Technological University, a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from National University of Singapore (“NUS”), and a Diploma in Education from NUS. Mr Wee is an ordinary member of the Singapore Institute of Management and a non practicing member of the institute of certified Public Accountants of Singapore, CPA.
Ms Shi Xiaohong – Chief Designer
Ms Shi Xiaohong, Irene is our Executive Director and Chief Designer. She’s appointed to the Board of Directors in August 2010 following the completion of the acquisition of China Children Fashion Holdings Pte Ltd (“CCFH”). She has been the chief designer for the CCFH Group since she joined in 2004.
Ms Shirley Chew Pooi Yee – General Manager for Retal Division (Malaysia & Singapore)
Ms Shirley Chew was appointed as a General Manager of Malaysia Operation on 3rd February 2009. And Subsequently became the General Manager for retail Division (Malaysia & Singapore) In December 2009.
She Joined Friven & Co. in 1st September 1999 as a Sales / Marketing Executive. In which responsible for establishing sales distribution networks in Malaysia. And she was promoted to Sales/ Marketing Manager in July 2004 and Assistant General Manager in January 2008.
Ms Shirley Chew holds a Post-Graduate in Diploma in Marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.
Mr Melvin Lim – Group Financial Controller
Started career as an audit professional in Foo Kon Tan Grant Thornton where he’s exposed to various industries such as trading, manufacturing, consulting etc. Audited a mixture of public listed, private companies and US multinational companies.
Joined Sallmanns Group as a valuation specialist in 2006 which was subsequently acquired by Jones Lang LaSalle Group in Feb 2008. Participated in and managed valuation projects which involve financial instruments, mergers and acquisition, intangible assets valuation etc. Industries covered include manufacturing, retailing, trading & distribution, hospitality etc.
After Sallmanns Group, Melvin spent a year with a Singapore based private equity outfit focusing primarily in Asian oriented opportunities. He participated in the evaluation of investment opportunities, with a primary responsibility in the construction and maintenance of robust valuation models. He is also involved in business and financial due diligence process of investment opportunities and assisted in the coordination of legal due diligence.
Melvin graduated from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 2003. He enrolled in the Chartered Financial Analyst Program and in 2009, successfully passed level 3. He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore.
